Our customer's safety is of utmost importance and Queen City Inflatables, LLC strives to take every measure possible to ensure the safety of our customers and their guests. Some of the measures we take are regular inspection and sanitization of the inflatables, training customers on proper operation and carrying liability insurance on all of our inflatables. Below we have taken the time to list some safety precautions that our customers should take into consideration when renting an inflatable:
- Regarding the operator/supervisor, you have two options; you may choose to supply one yourself or opt to have a Queen City Inflatables, LLC representative on site as the attendant/supervisor for the event. The operator/supervisor is required to be with the inflatable at all times. If the customer chooses to supply the operator/supervisor they must be present at the time of delivery to receive safety and operating instructions. Queen City Inflatables, LLC and State Regulations mandate that the operator/supervisor be at least 16 years of age. Amusements with a pool (ie. slipe and slide, water slide) must have a certified attendant. For more information refer to the Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1711: Agricultural Corporatons; Amusement Rides and the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 901:9 Fairs & Amusement Rides. QCi operator/supervisor rates are $30 per hour per operator, $120 for 4 hours and $200 for 8 hours.
- The inflatable should not be operated in inclement weather, including but not limited to winds of 15 mph or greater, when lightning is present, during precipitation, during temperatures below 45 degrees or when weather prevents the safe and proper operation of the equipment. If inclement weather occurs ask everyone to exit the inflatable, then unplug the fan and deflate the unit. If precipitation is present, place extension cords, fan unit and generator (if provided) in one area and cover with Queen City Inflatables, LLC provided tarp.
- The total weight limit for the 15'x15' units is 1,000 lbs (no more than 6 people). It is not advised that individuals over 210 lbs use the inflatables; individuals over 210 lbs risk contact with the ground and possible bodily harm and equipment damage.
- All safety and operating instructions contained on the equipment must be complied with and followed at all times.
- No silly string is permitted to come in contact with the inside or outside of the inflatable, this causes irreparable damage to the inflatable and can put users in danger. Due to the nature of damage caused by silly string the customer will be fined for the damages.
- Do not let the Inflatable rub up against any surface. This may cause damage to the inflatable and put users at risk.
- WARNING Individuals with head, neck back or other musculo-skeletal injuries or disabilities, pregnant women, small infants, and others who may be susceptible to injury from falls, bumps or bouncing are not permitted in the unit at any time. Individuals with exercise induced health conditions should use caution when in the inflatable and should adhere to the advice of their healthcare provider.
- Do not move the inflatable from the location where set-up.
- If the inflatable unit moves, pull corner(s) back to their original location(s) and resecure.
- Queen City Inflatables, LLC carries general liability insurance on all of our inflatables.
- For other questions regarding the safe installation and operation of equipment please call our office during normal business hours. You may also want to visit www.sioto.org (Safe Inflatable Operators Training Organization) for further information on industry safety standards.
